Meet the BAR Board of Directors
Norman, President (Mr. Ugly)
Bio guy by education, techie guy by profession, reef geek by choice, BAR President... I'll never figure out how that last one happened :)
Eileen, Vice-President (raddogz)
Eileen has been in the fresh water hobby since the age of six starting out with that simply goldfish and graduating onto raising and breeding Discus. After twenty years of freshwater decided to branch out to saltwater.
Current tanks include 155g mixed reef, 120g sps, 58g mixed reef,
Property management by day and by night reefkeeping and astronomy
Rich, (Lefty)
Rich has visited reefs in the Andaman Sea, The South Pacific, Australia, The Sea of Cortez, The Caribbean, the California coast and in the Hawaiian Islands. Currently he keeps a 250 gallon reef system, including a propagation system in his home, as well as a 150 gallon system for breeding small species of cuttlefish. Rich has helped build fish stores and wholesale facilities, as well as shooting and editing video projects for the Birch Aquarium at Scripps and The Discovery Channel, Canada. He is currently president of the Bay Area Reefers, a Site Admin at Reefs.org, a black belt in the martial art of Kuk Sool Won, and enjoys the company of his wife and daughter. To learn more about Rich than anyone should know about someone check out www.StickyCricket.com.
Arnold Pon, BAR Sponsorship Director (Apon)
Arnold has had a reef setup for the past 10 years, started with a 40 gallon and now moved into a 120g mixed reef and a couple of nano's. Arnold likes clams better than he likes Norm. (Sorry Mr. President) : ) He joined BAR because he wanted to learn more and meet others in the hobby. Besides reefing, he plays softball and basketball, and other hobbies are Backpacking and Archery. In real life I am an Application Programmer and does volunteer work for SF Chinatown YMCA.
Bryan, Treasurer (seminolecpa)
Bryan started in salt water in his native Florida when he got his first tank (a raffle prize at a Florida Marine Aquarium show) at age 10. He graduated to reef tanks some 15 years later after college first starting with LPS and softies. The SPS bug hit him while in Dallas (about 4 years ago) and he has been afflicted with it ever since. He currently has a 72 bowfront with a 58 Oceanic burried somewhere in his garage perhaps to relive again.
Bryan, a graduate from Florida State University and a CPA by trade (hence seminolecpa), worked 10 years for a big 4 public accounting firm in taxation and now works as the Director of Tax for a local private equity firm. Currently residing in Burlingame his other hobbies include renovating his house and 37 year old Porsche, football, softball, and occasionally rugby.
Charles, Communications (cwolfus)
Charles is a pretty boring guy with lots of time on his hands. Ask him about it some time. ;-)
