What surface can snails NOT walk on?

I'd like to isolate some frag racks from wandering snails ... is there any type of surface they will not venture to cross? Like spiky or something? Thanks!

Copper barriers work a little bit on garden snails.
But I am thinking that is less than helpful in a reef aquarium.

Consider suspending the frag rack from up above, outside of the water.
Snails cannot swim, so if frag rack mounting point is outside the water, it is difficult to get there.
Possibly mounted on fishing line. But an acrylic bracket on edge of tank, down into the water might work.

If you can dangle your frags from above, I recall doing that for a bit way back when after a BAR meeting talked about doing it, then you could dangle your frag rack from above in the same fashion.

Wow, the dangling is pretty cool idea!

Dangling frag rack is a good idea, or at least bridged from the sides.

I really like mexican turbos, but they are the bulldozers of the reef world! And they are heavy so with a wimpy magnetic frag rack, they tend to bring it down off the glass!
