The Aquarium backstop at Miami Marlins ball park regularly gets plunked by major league fastballs. Fish don't like it, but it hasn't suffered damage.

I would guess that they are using Acrylic or even possibly polycarbonate.

That would be a lot more than 21K around here. YOu'd be hard pressed to put together a 1000+ gallon aquarium for that price in the US let alone that behemoth.
