got ethical husbandry?

Asking for a friend...

Note: Many LFS will often give you a cash discount if you ask, and bring cash of course.
(Not to avoid MAP, but to avoid credit card fees)

Yeah, well it's one thing if I forget to itemize all of my purchases across state lines on my end of year income tax forms, it's another thing to ask a store to commit an illegal act at time of purchase.

Cash discount is not illegal. It is a business issue with the store and any monopolistic credit card agreement they signed.

True, however they still need to pay the state for all purchases made through their store whether the consumer pays it or they pay for it for the consumer, cash register receipts allow the store to determine how much money to give the state and if there is no record of your purchase then that's something they don't need to do, and hopefully the store doesn't get audited.

Just wondering, how fail safe is this system through the apex? I'm about to set up a multi-tank system, is it proven enough to just run one return pump to each tank instead of the two I have run on my current tank?

Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking how reliable is the power monitoring?

I use it in various situations, 1 of which is to turn my UV light if the feed pump is drawing too little power. Which did happen a few times. Cleaned the pump and it was good to go.

Running a redundant pump is always a good thing. Everything has the potential to fail.

Thanks, thats what I was planning, but figured I'd ask to see if I could save some money on pumps.

Another question, are there any extra features if using the Neptune COR pumps with the apex vs the Ecotech Vectra pumps with the apex & WXM?

The Vectra cannot be controlled by the WXM.

Supposedly the author is still maintaining it. And author makes nothing on used book sales.
It is an amazing database.
But it uses scientific names and has non photoshopped images.
So those looking to identify their purple superman blastorama may not like it. :)

Basically the same database, just in a different format.

Having gone through similar issues when I was a grad student with a particular book that was out of print, advisor had a copy and said I could make photocopies of it but never take it home :D makes me wish that out of print books were considered "given up as Freeware" and anyone could just print out new copies if they wish. I mean they're books for crying out loud, not commemorative NASCAR plates made by the Franklin Mint.
