Mike, what lights do you have it under? The one you got was originally near the bottom of my tank, under 250w MH, and fully extended, it was usually about halfway up - so probably 20-20" total from the lights. I'm honestly not sure what causes BTAs to bleach, but maybe it's a lighting change?

I have the original RSM 130, and yeah, the skimmer was really loud (have since gotten a tunze 9002), although it got a bit better after it broke in. I know they've made changes to the skimmer since, so it may be that it's better, or not. I do like my RSM in that it's a nice, clean setup...

Prazipro works great for external flukes - I just treated a new regal angel with it, and within seconds you could see the flukes peeling off. Doesn't harm the biological filter either, just have to turn off the skimmer and any UV and remove carbon during treatment. Freshwater dips also...
