As the title state, curious if there are any 10 & 15 series aluminum extrusion suppliers/stores in the Bay Area?
I’m aware of all the online options, but curious if it might be cheaper, and I’d imagine more convenient to buy locally.
Not much more to be said here. Other than water parameters, 40% on a XR15 is pretty low I run 2 XR15s at 90% over my SPS rack and my other 3 at 60% over my LPS. What are your PAR values? The thin Zooxanthellae in SPS use light as its energy source, so low light mean starved coral.
Polycarbonate won’t absorb water therefore won’t warp and bow as much.
Polycarbonate will block out more light than acrylic though.
You can also try reducing surface agitation for less evap.
Just picked up my piece from HighTideAquatics
Remounted onto a 1.5”x1.5” tile - thinking about it after the fact, I should’ve went with a 3”x3” since this is an 8 month contest.
Photos taken with iPhone 13 plus
Full spectrum - no lens or filters
Blues - with orange lens
Bump all these items are still available. If no interest by Monday, then I will be recycling/dumping them
Also have a brand new JBJ tank scraper - 36” for those with a 30”+ tall tank
Following.
I’ve been considering the SDC 7.0 or 9.0 for a while now too. Price to specs and reviews, it just hasn’t seemed worth it. If I were to pull the trigger I’d buy one open boxed. I have also read on several forums that they let out a slight buzzing.
I’d love to hear local reefers...
They do look to be the same, thank you for sharing that @Coral reefer. I have been able to manage them on this tile for over a year, they popped up on a frag of the Rasta zoas and as you can see they grew out WAYYY faster than the zoas. If no one wants them by next week guess I’ll just chuck em. Lol
As title states, I have blue star polyps and Rasta zoas mixed on a 2x2 tile available for supporting members. If multiple people are interested I can cut it possibly up to 6.. Not the best pic lol
Pick up in Richmond
