Thanks. I found two bags of black live sand on clearance at petco one day n blended it with some existing white when I did my new tank transfer To make a salt and pepper

Be careful with back sand, it has small bits of iron in it. Can get stuck to your magnets and scratch your glass pretty bad. (2 tanks with black sand experience)
