got ethical husbandry?

A new creature showed up...

...in my 29G JBJ nano reef tank. I restarted this tank in October, (one anemone and clown, a bunch of zoas, palys, mushrooms, a coco worm, a mandarin gobi, and a bunch of snails, hermit crabs, etc.). Today a new creature showed up. Head and behavior similar to a snail, but the shell doesn't look like one. Here are a few pictures I took of it:

In the 3rd shot you can see the mottled flesh in the lower part part of the picture with an oval 'carapace' on top.
The 'carapace' is less than a centimeter but it appears that the creature is larger than a centimeter.

I'm wondering if maybe some of my snails procreated to produce this? Can anyone identify this? Hopefully it isn't a dangerous hitchhiker.

Thanks,
Don Herrick

Yes, I've checked a bunch of pictures of stomatella snails and they look like what I have. Thanks Vincent and DS. It looks like these aren't dangerous to the reef aquarium so I'll keep him or her around.

Very good hitch hiker. It helps eat algae!

I actually bought and added like 10 stomatella snails to my tank. But I didn't have enough algae or something and they mostly died. Only have like 1 left.
