So what did Santa bring ya?

I asked Santa for a clam, but Santa didn't know much about clams so I didn't get one :( .

I need advice regarding the RC stuff

I think you've been doing a good job in running the club and answering people's questions and complaints. Hang in there. I think some don't know everything involved in running the club and find it easy to just complain.

    Crab OK?

seminolecpa, I tried your method using a smaller 500ml Crystal Geyser water bottle, and it worked great! I put it in my tank and the next day--Viola!--instant crab trap 8) . Thanks for the tip!

    Why

I started out with a FOWLR system because I wanted to enjoy saltwater fish. I didn't think I'd get into reefs because of the amount of time and equipment involved. Then after a year or so, I thought I'd try just a few corals, which were softies/leathers. That got me hooked and I started...

Question for those who has a small tank...

All my pumps are internal except the Pan World. If you have a heater, unplug that too and see if it makes a difference. Maybe it's malfunctioning.

Question for those who has a small tank...

Hmmm...on my 29g I'm also using the Pan World 50PX-X for my closed-loop, Mag 7 for return, Sedra 3500 for my skimmer, and Rio 200 for HOB fuge. Temperature's been fine. And I only turn on my canopy fans when my 250MH turn on. Do you have a sump? My Mag and Sedra are located down there, so...

    Algae! Help!

I'd try those fish if I had a bigger tank. Oh well, guess I'll just have to do some pulling for now... :(

    Algae! Help!

I have this grape-type of algae on one side of my tank that's just pissing me off. I have to pull some out every few days because it's intruding on my zoos. Does anyone know how to rid them out of the tank? I've added some scarlet hermits hoping they'd help.

    Crab OK?

Thanks all! I'll try that trap method before resorting to moving rock.

    Crab OK?

Funny you should say that about your fish. I had a peppermint shrimp and 6-line wrasse go MIA. I suspected the crab, but wasn't certain. I still have my ocellaris, but then he doesn't hide in the rock like the other two did. I'm dreading having to catch the crab. And thanks for the image...

    Crab OK?

I have this crab that I found in my 29g tank that came as a hitchhiker. He's dark purple in color, and his body is over an inch in diameter. I was wondering if he would be harmful in my reef tank. I have a few small acros, montis, zoos, LPS, and softies. The picture isn't the clearest, but I...

Hey jedininja, Sorry to hear about the loss. But I was just curious about your nanocube. Did you take off the top so you can have MH over your SPS?

Craigslist. They should rename it Flakeslist

I've had an experience on Craigslist when I was trying to buy some coral from someone and he says, "Sure, I'll hold it for you, just come on such-and-such date". "Cool," I thought, "new coral!" I made a commitment to buying it, right? So before that day, I email and friggin' no response, even...

    Which one will you pick?

I also have the Squirt set up as a close-loop, and the sump makes no difference with how I plumbed it. The bypass is hooked up to a Tee that is attached to the pump's outet. Then the bypass just goes back to the main tank. So essentially the pump goes to 5 outputs stationed at various points...
