Looking for help to relocate an established tank.

This may help. Here's my equipment checklist for when I'm breaking down a used aquarium. Truck/Van/SUV big enough to fit aquarium, stand, sump and equipment Suction cups (borrow from BAR) Furniture dolly (Maybe a good idea for BAR to have these available with the suction cups?) Moving blankets...

Remove mushroom UPDATE: KEEP THEM ALIVE

Metal spudgers comes in handy to remove anemones, shrooms and zoas from rock crevices.

    WHALEN Storage shelf

I just sanded the edges and used a Harbor Freight anti-fatigue mat roll over the top as cushion.

    WHALEN Storage shelf

This will work as well. It’s the same ones I have in my garage. Get a 3/4” plywood cut so the edges sit over the long cross bars for extra support.

    Macroalgae at any shops?

Just a word of caution, remember to make sure it’s coming from a tank that is ich / disease free.

    WHALEN Storage shelf

Use a heavy duty workbench rated for 2000lbs like this $190 below. @phatduckk used one similar for this 60g frag tank previously. https://a.co/d/9kZG2wS

Leave a Frag, Take Something Away

    EXPANSION

The new expansion looks great! Is that new counter going to be a new location for the register? Do you plan on rearranging the new tanks that are stacked in the middle? I think it would open up the space and give the employees a better view of people arriving and leaving the store.

Thanks for the info. The form factor is pretty slick. I'm tempted to try the refugium model to replace my GRO.

    Ashburn’s endgame flat

She really wasn’t joking. Under the stand probably has enough space for a sleeping bag tho lol

Need advice on Acrylic or Poly tank cover.

I reused the snap in spline that was already there. The older version of the IM lid used vinyl spline which you can replace with normal window spline. Just make sure to get the right diameter so it can sit snug in the channel of the frame.

Need advice on Acrylic or Poly tank cover.

Use window screen for the netting is what I did. I needed to prevent my Dartfishes and Wrasses from jumping through. Then go to Tap’s Plastic and get a plastic cover cut to size. Pretty sure they have scrape pieces for cheap. Easily replaceable if they warp after a few months.

Need advice on Acrylic or Poly tank cover.

If you are trying to find a solution to not have to top off your tank with water so often than a quality ATO and reservoir container would be money better spent. Fancy polycarbonate lids are pretty expensive. $200+ depending on cut outs, feed doors, evap cover etc..... Check out Kraken Reef...

SupraSaltyReefer - ELOS 120XL and then some

It’s going to mainly be a shroom tank so I don’t need high par. Just want to see what the hype is about. They’ve been getting great reviews.

Took down my SR60 since it was scratched up pretty bad. I wasn’t doing much with it since it was just housing a bunch of leathers and wrasses. Now setting up a IM 25g Lagoon to focus more on shrooms and unique leathers only. Still undecided on which light to use. I like the rectangular look...
