Not sure, I have heard that new tanks consume alk due to getting the dead rock and sand bed going. I know I've been having bacteria blooms, was cloudy for a couple weeks then cleared up. Right now I'm dosing daily 60ml Alk 20ml Cal 12ml Mg And the Alk is still dropping...

Here's the latest tank shots, hope you enjoy, the tank is still going through the cycles, at the moment it seems to be consuming alot of Alkalinity, so I'm upping the doser to try to keep stable. Plus doing 10% weekly water changes which seems to help.

So far I'm happy with the 3 pump Proflux doser, no math, just plug in how many ML and how many times you want in a 24hr period. Plus it's expandable to control up to 8 pumps if you ever wanted to do that.

I was really wanting a red serpent star, but I have heard mixed things about them eating reef fish. I have alot of bottom dwelling fish nad some wrasses that sleep in the sand. Can a Red Serpent Star be trusted to not eat fish?
