    Roger's 3 Gallon Pico

I replaced the TOM with the water bottle, so I am not using the aqualifter anymore. The bottle, though more archaic, is more accurate.

    Roger's 3 Gallon Pico

Got my PAR 38 bulb attached to a swing arm desk lamp and some corals (Zoas, Trumpets, Zebra Shrooms). So far everything is opening up and happy.

    Roger's 3 Gallon Pico

After having unreliable ups and downs with this tank and pretty much neglecting it, I've decided to spend more time with it. The clam and maze brain have been moved to my main tank. Right now, the nem is still in there as well as a yellow watchman goby/pistol shrimp pair. Everything else died. I...

    Flat Worms???

I agree that those do not look like flatworms due to the shape. However, FWIW, I had a flatworm infestation in my 3 gallon pico, got a yellow damsel, and they were gone in a day.

    Xenia Outbreak

When my xenia spread I just ripped them out to control them. You need to get a good grip toward the base and they will rip off. They will regrow if there is a bit of a foot left.

    Roger's 3 Gallon Pico

Hello, All. I figured I'd start a tank journal for my little desktop experiment. I bought a used 4 gallon (or so) pico on Craigslist that came with a HOB filter and a heater (that I replaced). Started the cycle on 1/18/'14 with 1.6 pounds of live rock, 2.2 pounds of dry rock, and about a pound...

    Zoa ID

Thanks, Kav. I think you might be right. The skirts are more of a purplish brown. I was told they were Sour Apple zoas but they look a lot more like Kryptonites.

Hello, everyone. I noticed this little guy in my tank. It's about 2 cm across right now. What is it? Is it a mushroom of some sort?

    Pico Lighting

I'm looking for a cheap but effective LED for my new 4 gallon pico. Would this work? I know that many of the colors will not be useful for coral growth, but this is the easiest and cheapest 10w LED I can find that gives me the choice of turning on both white and blue lighting...
