FWIW you can find cheaper hotels then the "deals" offerred thru the MAX link, sorry Kevin. If you want to stay at a pricy hotel at a slight discount, use the list otherwise look at places like La Quinta. It comes in @$25 cheaper a night then the cheapest (Holiday Inn) on the MAX list.

Oh, no appology needed....if cheaper hotels are available, (and desired) please post them here so people can see how cheap it is to stay in Orange County for the weekend.
Just so people know, LaQuinta is quite different in "classification" to the hotels listed on the website. Really comparing apples and oranges....but then again, its just a place to sleep and take a shower, right?

Incidentily, Doubletree Resort just dropped their price the other night to match what the Holiday Inn was offering ($95 per night). Anyone who's been to a Doubletree knows what an insane deal this is! Literally a top-notch hotel for the price of a mediocre motel
This is the perfect opportunity to take the family on a quick week-end getaway.

I am going to try to come, depending on work. They can't confirm wether I need to work that weekend yet.

I stay at a LOT of hotels and find La Quinta not to be considerred "mediocre" by any accounts. Take the one in Ontario I stayed at for CFM. It was far from cheap and nicer then most Holiday Inn's I've stayed at. I stayed at that Holiday Inn last time. 3 fire alarms pulled while I was trying to get my 4 hours sleep. I really don't find the need to pay $25 - 150 more a night for a place I just sleep at. I'm actually staying at some fancy hotel right now in Denver (The Curtis) and honestely for the $150 I'm paying here a night, I'd rather half it at La Quinta and use the extra $$$ for marketting  When you travel a lot, 150 per night sure kills your budget.

The Doubletree Inn just lowered their price to match the Holiday Inn: $95 a night!

I highly doubt you'll find a better bargain than that

You have to book through the website to get that price though (less than half their normal rate)

Arnold I guess the price went up the closer we got to the time :( The tourist season has kinda kicked in now with Easter just around the corner.
