Hey all,

For those of you with Canon's, what do you find to be your favorite lens, and why? What do you use it for?
 
28-135 IS - it's an okay lens

17-35L - the lens I like the most. It's got a bit more glass, so it's weighted in my hand better. I seem to get less shake (handheld) with this lens than the above lens.
 
I use the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM as my all around (I have a cropped sensor XT, so the range is ~ 28 to 135mm @ 35mm equiv). Not too expensive and has IS. IF I had the bucks to spend, I would consider either the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM or the EF 17-40mm f/4L USM if you don't need the range.
 
I'm with chicken. I've got a 50D and love the 17-55 IS 2.8. Many tests puts it sharper than the 24-105 and the 17-40. The only reason its not an L lens is because its EF-S.
