Anybody building a scrubber?

I think only 2-3 people around here actively use them. One person is thinking about it a bit.
Since I have been a bit of a scrubber-proponent, people talk to me.

Lack of interest is partly due to the common skepticism about the technology of course.
But it is also because most of the BAR members are pretty coral centric.
Better fish/coral/rock/tank ratios, so few big nitrate issues that would benefit from a scrubber.
While I enjoy debating the technology, it is impossible to argue with "If you don't need one, why add one?"

That's odd. Asking if someone has built an almost-free piece of equipment, and then offering to help them design and or operate it properly if needed, does not seem commercial to me. Wait, I forgot to hide the big "buy now" button :)

As reference for others:
The issue is that SantaMonica, who runs the algaescrubbers.net site, has gone commercial.
He/she is now selling various new scrubbers, not just running a DIY scrubber community site.
So that site is now mixed.

Perhaps various posts could be considered viral marketing, trying to drive traffic to the site.
But a stretch, so I would not rush to get out the ban hammer just yet.
