Yesterday my kids noticed how the yellow tang was not around. I hunted everywhere for it then ... with dread I looked around the floor ... whew! Not there .... then ... naw, no way ... the overflow? Yep, there he was. Dammit!
I had to remove plumbing and drain the overflow down to about 4 inches then fish around blindly with a net...my net is short, and my hands were halfway down the overflow trying to luck out and catch him ... and I did.
When I got him back into the main tank, the purple tang chased him around. Looks like we've got a bully here.
I've covered the overflows with tinfoil, I'm going to try tonight to cut some acrylic overflow covers....
