Be very careful not to knock off the echim food container. I did this and it immediately fell straight to the bottom of the tank. A few hours later, some cursing, removing rock, vacuuming, netting, followed by days of water changes I was able to save the tank. No deaths. Nightmare.

How long can you use the Eheim feeder before the batteries run out? Is Eheim a daily feeding solution or do you have to get the Apex pluggable feeder for say 4x daily feeds?

Batteries last me over a year. I use it on my tank and most of the tanks I maintain. My feeds 2 spins, 4x per day.

That’s pretty good. And would reduce wiring around the tanks. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the input, I ended up ordering the Eheim feeder. Will set it up soon!
