About this time last year, my bus. partner gave me this 20 gal.

He wanted it off his porch and I'm a sucker.. so $350 dollars later,

My first salt water tank was born. I waited a really long time to set up a sw tank.. this isnt what I wanted. I added more rock etc.. then I bought a well used RSM. It came complete w/ red hair algea and some neglected corals that the previose owner didnt want in his new display..
But, it's not what I really wanted.
In my mind SW tanks are big... my FW tank was big..

Big takes a little more cash and planning.
I picked this up.. just to make my wifes day! I was begining to stack tanks up, and I promised here I wasnt going to do that again... oops .

I really liked the tank. It was setup as a FW cichlid tank. The color matched my wifes furniture and she would let me put it in the living room!
Too bad the stand was rotting and rickety.

I made a new stand, but I cant stain to match w/ a red.. I.m on the short bus when it comes to color matching..so I asked my pool table guy to put the finish on my stand. It is a 2x6 w/ pocket screwa and gorilla glue/ w a light skin. I used a solid 3/4 in top to protect the bottom of the tank from my clumsy tail.

I painted the inside w/ an anti fungal treated sealer.

It is about 1 foot longer than it needs to be. I like the extra space inside, and on the sides for my testing crap etc..

It was setup w/ all marco and pucani dry rocks and #3 crushed argonite sand.

I am running 2 vortech 40 and reefbrite LED ( +2bulbs of t5 for now.)

Here is a fairlt current FTS from 12/31
