black foam stuff

Hey guys, what is the foam stuff that people use to cover the back of the tank? Also if I spray that on the back of the tank, can I remove it later if I want too? I'm setting up a frog tank and want to use that stuff as background.

Oh, does anyone have any driftwood laying around?? :D

Great Stuff is once commercial brand but they don't make a black IIRC, just orange/yellowish tan. TnT or Dolphin should have the black (sold at pond stores).

FWIW it's very UV unstable.

Well you need UVA and UVB to keep frogs in proper health so you should have some source on the tank. The amount you'll receive from lighting for frogs really should not do any damage. IIRC no UV is emitted by the solid ceramic heat lamps, normal bulb ones I do believe put some out. It's been over 10 years since I've dealt with either frogs or heat lamps so take all this with a grain of salt :)

Then there is your answer!

Well it sure eliminates any effort I would be willing to put into finding something out about it ;) Too much effort for me to answer in other words :p

If I recall correctly :)

Google should return just about any acronym we post :)
