Board of Directors Meeting

    Because of unforeseen circumstances, yesterday's BOD meeting did not happen.

    We need to plan for one this month. After July, we are only one month away for the regional swap. I was thinking that we could rent a small room at Chabot, but I also thought of member Edgar Sandoval. He is the manager of a small hotel in Redwood City. Last year, he indicated that we could use his breakfast room in the hotel at no charge. It would have to be after their breakfast is finished, which in most hotels is 9 to 10am.

    Redwood City is not that far away and somewhat centrally located for those traveling from the South Bay, SF, and the peninsula. For those in the Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland area, I would be happy to pick you up and carpool to the hotel. Member JVU is in Walnut Creek and he could drive to my place and I would drive from there.

    Now, we need to pick a date in July or early August. Saturday's, the 22 and 29th are free for me as is August 5th. Let's get this going or we will be out of time and struggling to meet our Sept 9th deadline.

    Waiting to hear from Steve @patchin about the room in September at chabot.
    Date and location for the board meeting will be forthcoming asap.

    Sorry, I thought I had posted earlier. Neither the café nor 722 is available on the suggested date. Might work to use the room from the club swap. but have the glass doors open and people sit on the patio????

    I think the room we used last time for the club swap will be too small. Usually we have more attending and vendors set up.

    I haven't seen the size of the room that @Edgar Sandoval is offering (if it is still being offered) but it sounds like that might be a viable option.

    can we use a park or community club house ? I know we can book a local park forpriuvate events for relatively less money (200$) . it has covered area, I think that's all we need . I can talk to our community leasing office as well,for the club house

    Steve. I responded to you that room won't work as this is the much bigger swap. Can we get a suitable size room any Saturday in September? Or Sunday? Saturday preferred.

    Outdoor could be a challenge. If it's a 90-100F day, we might be all heading home with coral soup.

    I can get a large room at my community center which would be plenty large. I'm in Pleasanton, so not sure if this location works for people.

    Edgar's room in his hotel is a breakfast room so I doubt he would want a hoard of people traipsing through his hotel. I suggested his place for the board meeting, not the swap.

    It's a non issue now. The swap is scheduled for September 16 in room 722.
