Bubble King skimmer fizzing sound

The skimmer is making a really loud "fizzing" sound. It's not exactly like the bubbles "bursting" but a constant static like sound.

The skimmer is less than 3 months old =/

Any ideas? I'm going to give it a nice vinegar bath tomorrow. I do have a trillion trochus snails everywhere, even in the skimmer, so maybe they got jammed up in there?
