can a anemone sting a clown?

I just broke down a friends tank and was given all the live stock. One thing that came with it was a rock anemone. Its very pretty, light green outer with a purple mouth. The foot has purple and pink spots on the green.
But anyway, my two false percs are hovering and the male has been batting at it with his tail. I wanted to know if they can host this anemone, and if not can the anemone sting and kill them? Thanks in advance.

it all depends on the species. Clowns wont host in all anemones. heres a link to some host anemones:

if your rock anemone turns out to be Epicystis crucifer, i really cant tell you anything that i know would host in it. Some clowns may try, but wont. Ive had a true perc almost host in a condy a few years back, but it never really took to it. HTH
