Can't seem to link; tried it a few different ways.

Yup, it used to work for me until yesterday. Linked fine before then.
I've even tried embedding the URL, but that didn't help.

Straight link: http://www.yahoo.com/
see mine only does this when i only fill in the link part. sans periods
The straight link was a copy and paste.
Try using BBC code:
[ url=http://....] text[/url]
test with title test
test without title
Well that works, but what happened to straight copy and paste?
Seems like a workaround if anything...
URLs will automatically be converted to links.
Eric, you have your input format set to BBCode only. Try switching it to "Filtered HTML".
Haven't changed any of those settings. It's still under filtered HTML.
Copy and paste works this morning though...
