    Hello guys,

I'm organizing a group buy for my controller so you guys can beta test it.
The controller will be capable of the following:
    PH monitoring
Room, water and heatsink temperature monitoring
    Feeding mode
    Water change mode
Light cutoff in case of overheat
I'll be bringing my prototype to the meeting this saturday.
You can also follow and see some pictures and more info at:

I would love to try it out. How much would it cost? Or would we get them for free and give them back to you--I'm not sure what beta testing entails.

Is this thread asking for beta testers or is this for a GB?

+1 I've done beta testing in the past and have never had to pay for anything, just provide detailed feedback.

I'm sorry for the poor communication.
I don't have the capital to buy units to the beta testing, but the project is actually very final. That's why I wanted to see if anyone would like to get one of these units already built.
The hardware of this project will be released as an open source to the public and I'm also going to be selling the manufactured boards if anyone would like to get it already manufactured.
So, here is your chance to get them at cost, before I start selling them.
I'm still working with the suppliers and manufacturers to get a better idea on how much they will cost.
    I'll keep you guys posted.

posting price is kinda a very important thing. IMO you jumped the gun since you don't even have a ball park figure for us :(

Yup. A price would be a great start. I wouldn't mind seeing how this compares to the RKE and ACJr., price dependent.

Hi, It's most likely going to be around $100, but let me get all the quotes back first.

    I'm game for that price.

PC or MAC for the software? I assume PC?

Same here I would not mind trying it out as well at that price.

    I would give it a shot for around a C-note :D
I am currently using an aqua controller with x-10 switches.

Keep us posted with the details as you know more. There is some aesthetic value to getting rid of all those garden timers lurking under the tank.

I'm interested as well, even though I have 2 RK, I'm interested in a better one.
