DIY cheap ATO (including pump) under $30 [editing in progress]

    if you are like me with limited budget but really need the ATO to work, here's my version of DIY ato for my 30g long hosting both 90g DT and 40g breeder frag tank

    This setup should only used in sump, not really ideal for DP

    Water Level Sensor Float Switch $2

    TOM Aquarium Aqua Lifter Pump $16

    Airline Tubing $4.49 or free if you have extra

    Extension Cord $5 or free if you have extra

    Relay with PYF08A Socket, DC 12V $8.77

    silicone glue
    hallow tube that fits the float switch ( you can use pvc pipe if you have extra, I used my old HOB filter's extending tube.)

    I will update my post with photos later and steps on how to make one.

    You will have a fire. The float switches after low voltage on off circuit. You might need to look into a real relay.

    just use a wall dc charger instead of extension cord. less than ten bucks.
