It worked extremely well. Those photos were from some planted tank folk in Singapore...and


we all know how cold and foggy Singapore is :p

Tank got down to 22°C over night. That is condensation on that tank lol. Surely we don't need (want) a tank that cool, but it shows you the potential.

NOTE: in the DIY photos, you need to add water into the tub.
 
Well, the RCer has that photograph to go against him. 22­°C in hot humid singapore..I call that very successful. Energy efficient ..not sure.
 
flow can be anything to get the chilling effect. I imagine you can hook it up through a return pump or closed loop and have the fridge turn on with a temp controller. Given a typical planted tank, the canister was around 300 GPH
