Goal: downsize or sell tank, stand, plumbing, sump, light

Most of you know already, that my life has been pretty rough. I need to concentrate on things, and I need one less 70 gallon responsibility right now to straighten my life out.

    - I have only a few donor pieces from @Kmooresf, which I am trying to square away with him before figuring out what to do with them.
    - DBTC items will go back to original person who handed them to me. @Enderturtle PM me when you have a moment.
    - I would like to donate some to DBTC, but I don't have time to set any up.
    - Most coral are attached to live rock. I don't know how I'm going to part them, so buyer/receiver will most likely take most of it, and use/borrow BAR's bandsaw.
    - If I downsize, I will have to find someone to house most of my coral until I can get the smaller tank setup.
    - Looking for a long 30 or 40 gallon with stand, plumbing, and sump--either trade or as a donation. I doubt I will find something like this, so most likely I will have to sell.

If anyone has any suggestions or know of someone who has a smaller tank setup, please feel free to chime in. I don't want to get out of the hobby, but I may have to if things progress the way they do.

    ---------- UPDATE: 8/4/2016

I'm selling colonies now. I would prefer to sell it to people I trust. I will be using my bone cutters to cut them from the rock, so they may come in more than one piece.

I'm sorry, but I don't have set prices for these yet, because assuming most of these will come out in more than one piece, I suspect some of these will be between $20-$150 depending on total mass. I'm still not sure what's a good price, but I trust that some of you will honor a fair price if I honor a good discount.

miyagi tort (hard to frag completely) ($80)
    pink lemonade ( I love this guy ) ($150)
    candlelight (candelabra) ($60)
strawberry shortcake (will be difficult to frag completely)
    blue, torte ($125)
    garf bonsai ($100)
    green slimer (frags)
cali tort ( I love this guy too 4"-5") ($120)
    blue stag tort ( a big guy ) ($100)
    green tenius (4"-5") ($100)
red planet (I have frags of this, nothing big $20)
    tricolor (small, never grew)
    yellow milli (1"-2") ($40)
rainbow milli (looks yellow) (1"-2") ($40)
    rbta - I have 2. ($40/ea)

    mummy chalice $30
    miami hurricane $40

    large plating montis
    chili pepper monti

I'm also able to sell the huge colony of armor of gods now.

Plenty of other coral also, but SPS needs to go first. Willing to price out other coral not listed here when people come by. Lots of coral are permenantly attached to rock, so I will not be able to cut them off.

I've got a 40 breeder with stand you can have. No sump or plumbing.
Let me know, I'll clean it up for you. Was using it to store live rock.

I think you only have 1 DBTC from jill and I.

Feel free to sell/donate/give to someone else as DBTC. It's only a pink zipper of which we have lots of floating around.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I have room to house a couple frags for you until you ready but the frag tank is mostly full so no colonies.

You should be going into Easy Mode right now and I'm sure you know how:
    • Less Fish = Slower No3/phos buildup = Less maintenance.
    • Acropora/SPS = Not Easy To Maintain.
    • Smaller Tank + Even Less Fish = Easier Maintenance

Have you considered those Innovative Marine Tanks? Smaller, Sleak, Not drilled for sump though. Robert at Neptunes has these in stock.

    Rimless Low Iron Glass Tanks
    20 Gallons = 200
    Stand = 200

    30 Gallon Long = 350
    Stand = 300

    down size bud.

I down sized from 4 tanks ( 100 gal, 37 gal, 20T and a nano tank) to just the 37 cube. Less fish and much less corals, Makes life much much easier.

Mike, I totally agree with you on easy mode. I liked those IM tanks when I went to see them, but I don't have the money for them right now. That's part of my problem. I would prefer to keep the pink zippers in DBTC.

I was thinking 40 gallons would be a great size, but even considering 20 or 30 gallon. What is your take on tank size?

smaller tank size only means less margin for error and ability to keep a lot of fish and corals. SPACE will be like gold.

Try down grading to a smaller cube like a 40 or less before you walk away.

i agree with the sentiment, but 60 gallons is way too big for me right now. i'll aim for around 40

I have a 20gal QT you're welcome to if it helps with your new setup. I just gave two hang-on Remora skimmers that might be good or a smaller tank, but you'll probably want a sump even if you downsize.

Sorry to hear things have been rough. I hope you can get to a better place with your reefing.

thanks w, i think even if i were to downsize, i will need at least 30+ gallons just to transfer things over to hold.

Alright everyone, I got things squared away with Kris.

Most of the corals are for sale in my tank. I am keeping a few
pieces and cutting down the bioload to as few pieces that I can
handle. However, someone is welcome to buy everything.

Tank, stand, plumbing, lighting, sump are for sale too, but that
won't happen until I can either transfer the tank or the entire
thing goes to someone. I haven't thought of a price yet, but offers
    are welcome.

At the moment, I am not releasing anything to DBTC due to time and money
    budget constraints.

It would be great if BAR would buy the whole thing and frag it for DBTC, but
alas that is a pipe dream.

I don't have set prices right now. I'll do that once I give people here first dibs and can make
offers when they come. Please remember, none of this was cheap, but I don't expect people
    to low ball me.

I will have pictures when I find time.

Sorry to hear about this, I was really impressed with your tank when I saw it!
I ended up w/ @wpeterson 's Remoras, which I only used shortly and would be happy to pass on to you, if you need them. Also, I'll have some other surplus equipment in the near future, and am happy to help if I can.

    neuro,
I got that 40 breeder cleaned up and ready to go if you need it. I'd be willing to see what corals you have for sale.
Maybe we can work out a trade. But, if your short on $$$. I'm willing to buy the corals and the tank is still yours free if you want it.
