Emerald crab

Decided to pop on my lights and see what my tank does at night. I saw a huge (biggest I have seen) emerald crab. He must be the one that has caught and killed some of my fish, snails and other emerald crabs in past. I will try and catch he again and get a picture. I would say he was 1 1/2 wide. Was wondering if there is a easy way to catch him to remove him?

I got my emeralds out using some food in the reef tongs and then moving a clear plastic container under them and dropping them inside. It sounds like yours might be a little shyer then mine were, so you might need to build a trap and leave it overnight. I think a glad plastic storage container works, cut a hole in the top that the crab can fit into. Weight it down of the bottom of the aquarium and drop some mysis inside. You should find your crab inside the container in the morning. The container just needs to be big enough that the crab can't catch hold of the hole at the top once he drops inside.
