Filter Feeder Question

Hello BAR. I need your help since i have not had much experience with Sponges, Gorgonias and Sea Fans. (Tree Sponges and Ball Sponges) I ordered a bunch from Tampa Bay Saltwater and they gave me huge chunks. Can i rinse them in RO, Dip Them or just dump into my DT?

I got some sponges and sea fans from Aquatic Collection. I rinsed in some DT water then straight into sump/DT. Some have said sponges cannot be exposed to air, I just made sure they went straight from wet to wet.

No lol he just gave it to me along with 2 decor crabs and I never like decorator Crabs. I just found out this is a Basket Starfish

Looks like a giant basket starfish. Doubtful that you'll be able to keep it alive since they're extremely heavy feeders.

I hope it doesnt die. Especially in the rocks where i cant take him out. Who wants to guy him along with sponges and silver gorgs?

can any of you tell if the sponge is healthy. While transferring to my tank. I actually exposed them to air for like 3 seconds lol

Give it a couple more days. You'll see the orange areas turn to white as it's disintegrating if it's been exposed for too long.
