Fish trap

i have one, it's pretty big though, not sure if it will work in your tank.
you can swing by and size it up.
Im close enough to you that it shouldn't be a problem.

Toss a mirror in the trap or on the other side of it and see if that'll work. They're pretty aggressive, especially with each other and that might do the trick if food doesn't entice it in.

I'm trying to catch a damsel and I think I can do it. Been hanging this guy in the tank for the past day or so. Fish are already so used to it they are swimming inside it. I can drop pellets in from the top.

Used it to catch my purple tang in about 10 minutes. This is a naoko, swallowtail and anthia all in the catcher. Just need to rotate it against the glass if I wanted to catch them.

it helps to just leave the trap in there for days or week. Only feed through the trap, so all the fish get used to eating out of the trap.
& hopefully, one day you'll get lucky, and catch him slipping.
