Neptune Aquatics Zoa Grow-out Contest

Alright zoa nerds and other reefers let's grow some ZOAS! This contest is a friendly competition to see whose tank and husbandry techniques can grow corals the fastest. The THREE people with the most growth at the end of the contest will win a prize. Let's rock and roll!:D

The Coral
  • Name: Flaming Zebra
  • Colors:
    • Orange Striped Skirt
    • Black Center with White Speckles
    • Green Mouth
  • Origin: Neptune Aquatics

How does this contest work?
  1. Post in this thread.
  2. Send 10$ to the club's paypal account paypal@bareefers.org via the friends/family option OR else they charge us money to withdraw.
  3. Talk to me about picking up your frag. (I live in San Mateo but sometimes travel to East/South Bay)
    • MUST BE PICKED UP BY JUNE 16.
  4. Post a picture of your frag ONCE a month or else you are disqualified.
  5. In 6 months, the three people with the most polyps wins!

I don't recommend taking it off the frag plug immediately. This is a sensitive zoa.

This is my last grow out contest. Well, OK, it should be my last grow out contest... for now...

Well to my knowledge, this is BAR's last grow-out contest for the year.

There will be no more :( until next year.


Yeah thats one of my goal with these grow outs contests. Bringing nice corals to club members for a cheaper price. I mean we couldve done these with cheap radioactive dragon eye zoas.

I want to give people multiple incentives for doing these contests.

Not only have kick ass prizes, but to have grow out corals that people actually want in their tanks.

I'm fully confident the spots are going to fill up fast. We haven't even posted on facebook/reefcentral yet.........so if you're interested I suggest claiming your spot :)

Third prize has been added! A zoa pack from Legendary Corals valued at 100$.

If we get all 20 people signed up, I will add a McChicken as the fourth prize.

I wasn't gonna do this competition to give others a chance to grow zoas but now that LC is involved you know I'm up in this! :cool:

Going to wait a couple more days before we start letting people pick up their frags
