So the time has come to take a break from reefing.

    I had one of these:

... and my poor tank just isn't receiving the TLC is once did. We are moving at some point and upon some very long and painful thinking I've come to the conclusion it's time to take a break. I have a bunch of coral in my tank, lots of DBTC (which I plan on offering up back into DBTC) and other I have bought. Instead of selling my coral (with the exception of a couple prized pieces), could I donate them to BAR? If so, should I just DBTC them or are there other means?

    Thanks all,
    Jay

Grats on the kid :) Ya, just follow your plan. DBTC old DBTC corals and feel free to start new threads for anything else you want to clear that wasn't DBTC. When you decide (not if) to reef again, you'll be in good hands :)

Grats! Having 7 month old I can say - she takes time (and then some more) ;-)
    But it's all fun.

DBTC the corals for sure. If close to South Bay I can house some and pass it down the vine...

Congrats Jay! I have #2 coming out any day now. I've been deciding to take a break but far into it to stop right now. Gonna try to see if I can take care of 2 kids and a tank at the same time. :)

I wouldn't say the end. I didn't start till #2 came, on #4 and still going. Though it does change your priorities greatly.

Congrats Jay I know how it goes. I really neglected the tank after my last daughter was born 18months ago. But time went on she got a little older and I was able to spend a little more time on the tank.

Congrats! My 1.5 yr old has just started to take a keen interest in the home nano. She likes to pull the siphon hose out of the bucket while I'm doing water changes as puddles on the floor are easier for her to relate to. Good luck! (and I've got plenty of room for corals if you need help)
