Grounding Probe w/ Reef Ready Tank - In Sump?

In our previous two nano tanks, I made sure we had both a GFCI and a grounding probe in the tank to protect ourselves and the animals from equipment failures.

We've since upgraded to a 90 gal reef ready tank with a large sump. The only powered equipment on the display are Vortech powerheads, where no electric equipment is in the water. I don't think it's possible to have any current in the display tank.

All of our heaters, pumps, and other equipment that could fail and leak current are in the sump. Is that the only place worth putting a grounding probe? The only risk is current to us, since there's only algae and pods in the sump.

Would loose current in the sump be able to travel through the return line or drain flow? I would imagine not, but I'm no electrician.

IMO you could have stray current in the DT. with no grounding probe. Your correct in putting the probe in the sump as the stray voltage will seek the shortest path to ground.
