It looks like the Aqualogic version has a titanium probe.
It seems you can get a special order titanium probe from Ranco as well.

Interestingly - With the Nema4X enclosure + titanium probe + pre-wired, the Aqualogic version is not that bad of a deal.

yes, you can use silicone or even glycerin... that is how i did a few of mine (inside small vials and sealed off with silicone sealant)

My next one will be off the shelf waterproof one direct from Ranco.
