  1. Enjoy him while we can. Not sure he's going to make it.

    Is it eating?

  4. Nope. He's fairly fat right now and very, very active, but he's not eating yet. He get's right into the mix at feeding time and isn't shy, but he ignores whatever I've tried to feed while everyone's eating around him. Just isn't recognizing anything as food.

    :(
They are really tough. I have heard of a couple success stories though they are few and far between.

    Was hoping you had success

  15. Me too. I've resisted before because I know how hard they are, but this one was huge and fat when I got him. Thought I had a chance. Probably wont try again on these. They are gorgeous, but just don't adapt.

It was the same for me , fat and looked good. Never ate anything live or frozen. I also wont be trying this fish again

  17. This goes on my list of only if someone's selling one from their own established tank. Even then a transfer can be risky and I've seen fish eat in one tank for years, but stop when moved -- but at least then it would have a chance. Not fair to this species when there's so little chance of it surviving.

Did you pick him up from aquatic collection? I was there about a month ago and they had a big one in one of the small boxes

  19. I got mine direct from the wholesaler.
