That's nothing, I love Vortech for almost the same reason, almost everytime I've sent something in for repair they send two back! (unfortunately none of them have been like whole pumps... but magnet kits, wetside assemblies, the "cheaper" things... wish I would have gotten a power supply or something doubled up though!)
Most likely not a mistake though, often it's easier to simply replace than to repair. Ditto with EcoTech, I sent in a dry side motor, he actually said "we replaced the magnet and etc..." but a brand new one came back, I know it was a new one because the old one was scratched a bit on the outside, this was shiny new.
