Hi,
I recently purchased a Korallin Calcium Reactor for my 40 gallon frag tank and am having a little bit of trouble setting it up. The model is a C-1502. I am running an Ehiem pump that mixes the sump water with the media and I am using an aqua lifter pump to bring the water from the sump to the reactor. I set the reactor up as follows. . .
Effluent rate is .25 g/h at 40 drops per minute
The bubble count is at 1 bubble every 24 seconds
PH reads 6.61 using PH probe connected to AC JR
Tank has been up and running for 2 months only.
I think I am close but just can't get the alk level up to stay consistant.
Funny thing is, my calcium is at 560 and my alkalinity has dropped from 11 to 5 dkh in the past 7 days. I just started adding dkh buffer to try to bring the level up in the meantime.
Does anyone have instructions on how to set this reactor up or is running one and can help?
