Oh good I will be visiting berkely soon to visit my girlfriends mom. Hopefully youre near boun.
Yes, near Boun.
Thanks for everyone who participated.
For those that picked up from me this evening, please share pics so others can admire your new acquisitions.
For those that that I am holding, I will dip and place in my tank. And then I will post pictures.
Please remember to always dip corals under any condition. My friend has assured me his tank is pest free, but just in case, always dip. For very sensitive corals, dip with Bayer Advanced is preferable.
For those that are curious, here are some of the frags I am holding for people. As nanomarine said, already great polyp extension.
I want to thank you again...for the delivery and the hook up for fantastic frags!
Best fishes and happy new year
For those curious, here is my friend's general maintenance regimen.
Tank runs around 8.5 alk 420 calcium and 1350 mag. Give or take. I don't really test that much.
Feed mysis brine and herb blend all frozen cubes. Dose iodine few drops every week and potassium nitrate once a month, .5 teaspoon in 5 gal on top off.
My pleasure to help local reefers out.
Picked up my frags today! Very cool tank too! Nice talking to you.
Doh! I was dumb and left my acro sitting in the cups in my sump for too long (2 days).
The PC Rainbow is fine and looking good.
That nice chunky Mr Ugly's Red Prostrata died and stank!
Whoever has Mr Ugly's Red Prostrata growing out, keep it in the Bay Area! It's a bay area classic piece, grow it out and sell/pass frags around! My Ugly was a past BAR president and I did see him sign on last year but haven't seen any activity from him in a while.
For those that have read, my friend doses potassium nitrate to increase nitrate in his tank. I did not understand why until today another friend linked me to this article for a separate issue.
Worth the read to improve our husbandry of reef corals.
