    Mike, you change the duity cycle to change the brightness. These drivers can handle something like 300-1000hz

    Oh I see, its not a square wave, it changes the off time.

    I'm curious though how would this affect the LEDs? I mean even if it is turning them off for 90% of the time, you're still through 1300mA at something that was designed for 700mA

    You can set the driver to 1A max 100% instead of 1.3A. THis is fine with sufficient heatsinking.
