I picked up a baby long spine urchin from CaReefCo on Saturday. Temp acclimated for 20min and then drip acclimated for an hour and moved him to my DT. He has been moving around & grazing well but I noticed he lost a few spines (3-4 in the last 2 days) and I know loosing spines is not a good sign for urchins.
I currently don't have too much algae growing for him but have coralline on my rocks... Today I fed him a tiny piece of nori and he munched on it for a while... anything else I can do to make sure he's fine?
