Look DOWN on your coral!

If you have never looked at your reef tank from the top down. I encourage you to pick up an acrylic container of some sort with a flat bottom and take a look. You will be amazed at the difference in color you will see.

Surprising difference in color! I often look at my tank top down but didn't expect your clam to look so aqua green. Very cool!

That's not a coral, that's a clam

But yeah, my "gold" maxima looked kind of gold from the top, from the side it looked quite drab and brown, I had a blue maxima similar to this one, and like this one looked awesome from any angle, however I learned quickly to put these guys near the glass because then you can potentially see the color change without having to go above the tank.
