Looking For Lusty Shrimp

What shrimp can be kept in “relatively” large groups (10 or 15?) and have large spawns regularly? This is an effort to have a cleanup crew for anthias left overs and feed the corals + anthies in one fell swoop.

Peppermint or Sexy, although Sexy larvae are really small

I love Sexy Shrimps though I would not not recommend them for a clean up crew. Also watch out Peppermint Shrimp will attack dieing corals.

I would and have used them as such for 10 years They're not only great for eating stuff off your rocks, they also will eat some parasites They seem to keep red bugs at bay and also seem to have an effect with AEFW. Since they are small, they get in and around the tightest areas in your reef head.

Easy thing, just don't keep dying corals. Given he mentioned the extra food being an issue, I doubt the Peppermints would eat anything other then the extra food

Maybe the problem with the sexy shrimp was just me. I guess it was just really lazy. All it did was stand on my mushrooms.

One doesn't do much. I always use a bunch... ie.. 5-10,15, etc

I was thinking of buying a bunch but I do not know where to get that many, when my LFS gets them they usually only get 5 at the max.

Tec at Blue Ocean gets sexy shrimps in regularly. If you want more than he usually carries, just ask and he'll have em in a week or so usually.

Idunno bout their "cleanup crew" efficacy since they tend to stay on the nastiest stingiest corals they can find, but they're cool critters none the less.
