With the site switch over the pictures I had posted do not show up. Am I going to need to repost them?

Posted a new picture yesterday with no problem. This morning thought I would go back and edit old post by adding the missing pictures. Instead of pictures, what appeared were links that show picture when selected. After 3 attachments I received a warning that I would exceed the 1 MB limit. When I went to a different message in the same thread and tried to edit with a picture it again told me I couldn't because I would exceed my 1 MB limit. Don't remember this happening with the old forum formate. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Any idea why when I edited and tried to add a picture it showed up as a link not an actual picture?
