Mini Swap at every meeting

Just two thoughts on increasing attendance and/or revenue:

    1) Simple frag swap:
You can bring ONE frag to the meeting.
Put the frag on the table, and write your name on a list.
First come, first on the list. Simpler, and fets people there on time as well.
After the meeting, call the names in order.
You have 15 seconds, or end up at the end of the list.

    2) Auction like frag swap:
    Beg/borrow/steal donated frags.
    Have ONE big bid list.
You put name + a bid donation amount on the list. Probably with a $5 min bid.
You are allowed to increase bid at any time.
After the meeting, call the names in order of bid amount.
    You pick in that order.

If simple and fast enough, and if fun, it could be at every meeting.

Not a bad idea. Especially since dbtc is kinda broken at the moment

    I like it @rygh!
The only way to to get dbtc going is for more people to participate. I know @neuro is consistently adding corals to the dbtc program. A few of us newer members have added a couple things. I don't see a whole bunch of the veteran members with the mature tanks adding much at all. Then members that received coral need to stick around long enough to give back. I don't know way we don't do mini swaps or coral auctions at every meet up. I'm going to this weekends meet up for the potluck but not really interested in making up my own fish food(I just buy it). I would much rather be swapping a coral or bidding on a frag.

Great suggestion, Mark. We'll keep it in mind for future meetings after this month's.

Awesome idea! I am for this. It'll make meetings much more interested. I too was interested in the last meeting but did not want drive across the bay just to make fish foods. Frag swaps are so much fun!!!
