Last item I need. Let me know if anyone has or sees one at a good price. (Good = affordable.)

Probably -- but not sure I can afford one right at the moment, but would like to test the waters and see what's available.

I've been keeping an eye on eBay for used masterflexes. Prices keep going up.

Yep.. if that's the decent price I need to look for a cheaper alternative for now. Any suggestions?

    850 good Lord!

That's up there in the Jebao argument range. sure a lesser pump might crap out after a year but 8 years later and you're still ahead

I honestly think a cheapo aqualift will do the job if you want to have the reactor running asap and that way you may search for a used unit in decent condition and at a decent price.
I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I spot one. There is/was one on cl at a very good price with a 50gpd capacity great for automated water changes

There are much cheaper analog/older masterflex. But I'm not familiar with them.

There are cheaper older brushless models.

They are usually around $500 or so.

    7523-60
    7550-30 (what I’m currently using)
    77301-20
    77301-30

    These are older models.

The newer ones like the 7523-80 are nicer looking but much more expensive.
