Just got the wood went with 3/4 mahogany and thinking about a granite top
Would that make your entire tank a slab of phosguard? Go big or go home, might as well go strait to a diamond tank!
That sounds gorgeous, I eagerly await photos!
definately goin to go with the granite top in a tan color
Your build sounds awesome! Can't wait to see pics!!! =D
Great start, this is gonna be good!
Here is a post where someone was asking about using granite on their stand. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332749
Thanks everyone for the comments and thanks erick for the input on the granite top...that thread coupled with the pain in the @$$ of trying to locate a granite person the past few days is straying my original plan... Probably just go standard on the cab. On the upside robert from Neptune and I were talking and I think I am going to convert an oceanic illuminata into a sump/fuge what do you guys think?
Probably a cheaper way to make a sump
Welcome to BAR............this is gonna be a fun build. Looking forward to watching the progress! Good luck!

Holy Crap I have SHOP ENVY! That shop is SWEET!
Stand is great as well. Like the stain color a lot.
Thanks Kris wish it was my shop. It's my friends so I too have SHOP ENVY!!! The color of the stain is royal mohagony on mohagony wood...
Looking good Might want to design a bit more sheer support. Side to side movement has little support.
Very cool set up so far. Can't wait to see the final work.
Thanks...gomer the inside has an extra support in the middle. The front plate was also braced.
Anyone have any recomendations for an ATO
Choose your poison
I have an Elos, and it's ATO has been rock solid for me. Also have the ATO.com one and it worked great too (much cheaper, but also much bulkier). No first hand experience with the Tunze, but many are quite happy with that one too.
Thanks again gomer.I was looking at the tunze but the one from ATO.com looks awesome for the price
