New club PAR meter?

The PAR meter we have seems to be a big hit, and pretty well used.

But it is getting old and was never ideal for LED.
They now have a better full spectrum one.
Perhaps it is time to upgrade??

That's just the sensor there. Is that all that's needed to upgrade?

That one on sale is the sensor with a USB cable, plugs into a computer. Can transfer numbers in real time or store lots of measurements for download later. Apparently they have software for it too. So it is a complete solution, but just doesn't have a separate handheld readout like the more traditional meters.

IMO, a USB sensor would be a better option since that's less potential dropping in the tank issues, no need to worry about batteries, and logging of data, assuming the software is free.
