Neptune Aquatics

New In-Wall Tank

Man I love the look of your system. I tend to be as interested if not a little more of the planning/building as I am the final product! The planning you have is awesome and I love the red plumbing.

sent from my note 4

Really appreciate that :) I would say im proud of how it turned out. Actually came out much better than what I expected.

Quick question for you guys regarding flow. Do any of you only use only one "overflow" pipe for tanks over 100g. Im using a 1-1/2" durso pipe with 1" Bulkhead opening and 1" for the return. This would give me about 1560gph gravity fed and I know its suggested to have the tank turn over 10x. Do you guys suggest more or would this be perfect considering the reactors and fittings.

Turnover is a hot topic. I've read you MUST have anywhere between 3x to 15x! Talking about it is likely to start a battle (Nikon vs Canon, Mac vs PC, etc) :(

I'm not sure you could get 1500+gph with a Durso. That might be quite loud. With one OF and two holes I'd go with a Herbie (one full siphon and one emergency) and take the return over the top. With that the largest BH should be the emergency.

I like the lights around your sump. Looks like it's ready for DISCO. Saturday night fever, baby!! :D:D

hahah thanks on the lights!

not sure how im going to take the return over the top. My tank us sorta built in. My last resort is to drill another hole.

Agreed, less turnover through the sump makes things much easier. I pushed 1600GPH through the sump of my old 120g. When the sump drain plugged and the tank started overflowing, I realized REALLY quickly how much 1600GPH was. :)

Update:

5 out of 8 Parts came in for the GEO 618 CaRx reactor. Co2, media, Vertex Line Holder, Second Neptune Ph probe, and a Di Chamber as an attachment to the CaRx for excess Co2
