Stopped by New Alameda Aquatics on my way home from work yesterday to see what looked interesting. Jim pointed out a batch of tank raised captive bred true perculas. They are the final batch of a very cool dark variant from Fingerwrinkles. The female of the breeding pair is gone, so it may be up to this last batch to continue the strain in the Bay Area.
I asked Jim to hand pick 3 nice ones for me for my 18g. Also got some food and a bunch of helpful info and took the little guys home to acclimate. The only bad news is that the wife has named the clowns Larry, Curly, and Moe, hahaha.
Steve said he's attending the October meeting, and he'll bring 3 of the true percs and a bunch of cool corals and discount coupons for our raffle
