I basically only use the side cutting bit for hard corals like frogspawn for example. The actual blade cutters in my opinon tend to make a mess and aren't as easy to control where you want the cut, with the side cutting bit, you can move it any way you want, because every angle is a cutting surface unlike a blade or disc.This is the cutter I have,http://www.dremel.com/productdisplay/display.asp?sku=561&color=cc0000 with this kit http://www.dremel.com/productdisplay/Display.asp?SKU=400-3/51

Thanks all for the dremmel guideline. I got myself a dremmel yesterday at ACE.
